We get asked a lot a questions about who we are and what we do. This page answers some of the most common ones…but feel free to email us if you have more!
What is the BCM?
The BCM is a student organization at Tennessee Tech University. Our “home” is the BCM building, located on Tech's Campus.
The BCM provides opportunities for spiritual growth, making friends, leadership, service, and missions. We have everything from big events with over a hundred people, to small groups and one-on-one mentoring, so there is a place that is just right for you!
Do I have to be Baptist?
Absolutely not! The BCM is sponsored by local Southern Baptist churches and is open to all Tech students! So come on by the BCM, everyone is welcome!
Are you a church?
No. We are a ministry supported by dozens of area churches. The BCM encourages all our students to be actively involved in a local church; we never want to take the place of church in anyone’s life.
How do I join?
Just start coming! We don’t have a membership, we just have events and people come. Our events are open to any Tech and other area college students and our group is diverse.
What kind of things do you do?
We have activities almost every day of the week: large groups, small groups, Bible studies, and socials. We have small groups for committed Christians and for those who are just investigating the Christian faith. Check out our Community page.
What happens at your building?
The TN Tech BCM building is open Monday through Friday for you to relax, study, and play games. We have comfy couches, a ping pong table, a pool table, free wi-fi, a library, computers, and a cabinet full of games. It’s a great place to hang out and meet people. We hope you will come by often!
How can I get more involved?
Check out our Get Involved page.
What if I’m a transfer student?
Lots of transfer and graduate students come to the BCM. So don’t hesitate to get involved!
Do you do missions?
We love missions! Check out our Missions page.
Can I park in your lot?
Yes. But only if you come in and get a parking sticker. Stickers will be available a few weeks into the fall semester. |
